May news from Street End FarmNew Bags!We would like to tell our customers about packaging changes we will be introducing in the next few weeks. Firstly, with the recent dramatic increases in grain prices and fuel costs, we have been looking at ways to minimise price rises to our customers, and continue to provide really good products at a competitive price. We have taken the decision to replace our 10kg bags with 13kg bags. This will spread increasing costs (such as courier charges) across a heavier weight and will reduce the price/kg to you - for example a 10kg of Original Farm Mix was £12.95 equating to £1.30/kg, and a 13kg bag at £15.95 equates to £1.23/kg. We have also introduced a new 8kg (2 x 4kg) option for those customers that don’t really want to buy 13kg at one time. Secondly, we will be phasing out our current paper bags in the next couple of months and replacing them with tough, recyclable, waterproof bags. These new bags will reduce double handling for us and the struggle of getting into our current white outer polyprop bags for you! If you have received broken paper bags previously – please accept my apologies, the new bags are designed to withstand the rough handling they often get in transit, and breakages should become a thing of the past. New Addition to the Team!I am delighted to tell you that Mrs Sian Baker has recently joined us to help me in the office with customer service and order processing. If you ‘phone and it isn’t my Scottish voice which answers – chances are it will be Sian – a friendly, and very efficient, Hampshire lady who will be delighted to help!
